Happy Bark-day

Last week I shared this set of birthday cards. Well I needed one for a birthday party my oldest son was attended so I decided to make a matching gift tag. I just loved how it turned out so I'm sure I will be doing the same kind of thing for the rest of the cards in the set.

Here is a close up.

CAS-ual Friday 46: Name that tune

This week's CAS-ual Friday challenge is to make a clean and simple card inspired by a song. So today I have a card that pays tribute to the popular 80's song -Freeze Frame. I love 80's music, it just makes me want to dance.

One layer Wednesday: Celerabrate today and everyday

Today I have a card that I put together very quickly.  Last weekend we had two soccer games and a birthday party so I needed a girl birthday card fast. Since the little girl is really into princesses I thought the princess in the PTI Tiny Treats birthday set would be perfect. (And how often am I going to be able to use it since I have to boys)

I colored the image using color pencils. Here is a close up.

Case Study #83: A Paper Smooches birthday set

Okay I picked up a few of Paper Smooches sets while on vacation.  I just love the Birthday Buddies set. When I saw this week's Case Study challenge (pictured below created by Laura Bassen) I knew I could create a fun set of birthday cards that would work great for girls or boys.  You can never have enough of those types of card in your stash.

(Sorry I just looked at the photos I took over the weekend and noticed that the focus is way off, but since I'm not able to take new photos this will have to do)

All the little birthday buddies were colored with color pencils.

Song Bird Thank you

Now that the temperatures are getting warmer here I wasn't really in a mood to make a Christmas card over the weekend. But not to worry, I was inspired to create. So I do have some cards to share this week. This first one I am really pleased with since pieces of it have been sitting on my desk for a couple of months. I could not figure out how to finish it off. It started out life as a weeding card but has ended up as a springy thank you card.

Here is a close up of the sweet little bird.
